This has been a busy but AWESOME weekend. Saturday was our Little Philliemont for the YW Leaders in our Stake. A lot of praying, planning & work to put this together. But I think it went well. It's over so that is a huge item off our plate as a Presidency.
Friday I went to Fort Myers to help Mary & Ofa decorate, set up the room, and make sure we had everything ready for Saturday morning. We spent about 3 1/2 hours getting everything set up. It was fun in a busy, crazy way! I know that sounds dumb, but I love those women with all my heart. We have such a good time together. We are laughing one minute and crying our eyes out the next. I love them and learn so much from them.
Saturday, I left the house a little after 6 am so that I could get to the Stake Center by 7am. We got breakfast ready for the leaders and were nervous wrecks to have to teach. (At least I was). It went really well. Our Bishop was there and Pres Clover was wonderful as always.
The spirit was amazing and I hope that the leaders that were there knew how much we love and appreciate them. Very neat experience for me.
Today, we went to Ward Conference at the Bahia ward in Naples. Jaycee and I left this morning at 6:30 am to be at the church by 8am. It was a great day. I love the YW leaders in that ward. They have many challenges, but they are doing everything possible to help the girls in their ward. Amazing women.
I feel so thankful to Heavenly Father for all he has blessed me with. When Pres. Clover & Jack Alexander (my cousin--a few times removed, but whose counting) set me apart as Stake YW 2nd couns. Pres Clover said that by having this calling my perspective would change on the YW and the focus of the girls would widen. It has done this and then some already. I love these YW and their leaders. It makes me thankful for the things Heavenly Father has blessed me with.
Today I'm thankful for the following:
-Two girls who always try to make the right decision, even when things get tough.
-For the Gospel.
-For my testimony that has MAJORLY increased the last couple of months.
-For a husband who supports me in all I do.
-Date nights once a week with Greg.
-Jordan being sweet to me.
-Scripture reading with Jaycee.
-Jaycee for going with me to Bahia ward today. She is one amazing girl.
-I'm thankful for my friend Linda, who I love with all my heart. She is amazing and even though she is thousands of miles away, I feel she is right next door and would do anything for me.
-I'm thankful for Latter-Day prophets who lead and guide us.
-I'm thankful for the Temple and the blessings it has for us if we go.
I could go on forever. But for today I will stop here.

That sounds awesome. It's amazing to me how one's perspective changes with each calling we have. I'm feeling really overwhelmed and inadequate right now but none the less I love the girls in my ward so much and am grateful for this calling. Thanks for sharing, I'm sure you did an awesome job as always!
I agree Saturday was awesome. I felt the same spirit reading about it here as I did attending. Thanks for supporting us ward leaders. I couldn't do it with out you. I love working with your girls and I miss them greatly when you take them on stake visits with you!!!
