Summertime..going going..almost gone

So July has just flown by like nothing. I can't believe in about three weeks the girls will be back in school. July was full of up's and down's. I guess on the good side, we now have the house picked up and cleaned out A LOT more than we would have. Too bad it has to take an 'almost' move to get it done.

Jordan & Jaycee have worked hard on their rooms this month and they look so good. They were going to paint them, but now aren't sure if they still want too or not.

Since we are staying and not having to have a few moving expenses, Greg and I got us a new bedroom set and TV for our bedroom. We have NEVER had a new bedroom set. We have always had hand-me-downs or garage sale sets. Not that we haven't been greatful, but I LOVE having something new and that looks nice for a change. I actually WANT to keep my room cleaner now...Greg is happy about that.

Since Jordan was at camp when Jaycee and I had our last Disney day for the year, Greg said I could take Jordan so she could use her last day at Disney. So Saturday Jordan & I went to Hollywood Studios-MGM. It was a lot of fun. We went on the Aerosmith Rockin' Rollercoaster at least three times. I love that ride. I could go on it all day if the lines would co-operate. We had a good time. Jaycee & Greg went golfing, Jaycee drove the golf cart which she loves to do. Then they went to Friendly's for dinner and ice cream.

This coming weekend we are going to the Tampa Bay Ray's baseball game. I'm excited for that. They are so much fun.

In one week Jordan goes to Orlando for Youth Conference. She is excited for that and has been waiting to finally be old enough to go. She will also go to her first church dance on Aug 16th, not to sure how I like this...But ya gotta let them grow up..UUUUGGGHHH!!

Other than that, Jaycee and I are just relaxing today. Playing on the computer and enjoying Sunday.

Just a normal Sunday drive...

This evening I went for a little Sunday drive. I usually drive to the same place. The bridge over Charlotte Harbor, to Punta Gorda, past Fisherman's Village to look at the sunset over the water, then I go see if my little Burrowing Owl buddies are out.

Tonight they were. I have my camera with me at all times, cuz you just never know what you will see out here. Tonight the bigger Burrowing Owl was sitting on top of the 'protected bird' sign. It was too cute. So of course, had to get a pic of that.

At the next burrow just a few yards down, there were 3 little Burrowing Owls on the ground by the whole. I could only get pics of 2 of them. The 3rd kept coming in and out of the burrow. This is one reason I do love Florida.

So with my new family blog addiction, I now realize that we need new family pictures. We don't have any for a year that have all of us together...So with that being said, that is my new item on my growing to do list.

We will see if it happens..Let's hope so.

Checking in..

So not much going on this week. Just trying to get back into the swing of things now that we are all back together as a family. Jordan & Jaycee spent three weeks in Utah with Greg's family & my sister. They had a fun time with family & friends.

Greg & I are back to work and try to just keep up with life. The house is now unlisted, and things are slowly getting back to normal. (Whatever normal is right?)

Hope everyone has a nice rest of the summer. Can't believe school will be starting in a few weeks. Time flies! Hope to hear from ya..We love hearing from friends and family..Talk to ya soon.

Morrill's On The Run

So it has been a busy month. Jordan & Jaycee were in Utah & Oregon for three weeks. They got their summer vacation so that when Greg got back from Baltimore, we could fly to Maryland and go house hunting.

The girls got to spend two week in Utah, then went to Oregon for Greg's families annual Oregon Coast Beach House vacation. Wished Greg & I could have gone, but at least the girls got to go and have fun with their cousins.

Greg & I went to Maryland for a week. It turned out to be a vacation for us in the end, instead of a house hunting trip. Although, we did find a gorgeous house that we were going to make an offer on. But things work out for a reason, and we aren't to move this time. So Greg & I made a trip to Baltimore where we went on a submarine, US Coast Guard Cutter-Taney (last surviving ship from Pearl Harbor), and The Chesapeak ship. After that we went to lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday we went to DC for the day. We went to Arlington Cemetary, which was wonderful. Then we drove down to The Mall and saw The White House, Washington Memorial, Pentagon & the Watergate Apartments.

I could spend a month in DC. I haven't been there for over 20 years, and I still love going there. So much history.

We are now all home as a family. We missed the kids and are glad they are home. Sounds like they had a fun time. Thanks to all those who watched over them and entertained them.

The Morrill's in Florida

So this is a new thing for me. Still figuring out how to set this up. We will see how it goes.

We have been in Florida for over 2 1/2 years now. Greg is working for Exxon-Mobil as a Territory Manager. He loves his job. He teaches Sunday School, and golfs as much as possible.

Shalee is working at Living Naturally and dreams of when she can be a Stay-At-Home Mom again. She is YW Pres. in our ward and in any spare time...whatever that is, loves to scrapbook and keep up on our family web site.

Jordan is 14 and will be starting High School this year. She loves soccer and did really well in school this past year. Jordan is very into her friends and shopping. She is a very good artist and is always drawing.

Jaycee is 11 and will be starting Middle School this year. She loves to sing, laugh, and play with her friends. Jaycee was in the Drama Club, Band, & Honors Chorus this year. She also got an Academic Presidential Award along with 100% attendance for school.

We are enjoying Florida and are greatful to have been blessed with a wonderful family and great friends.
